A transitional specialist is a pastor who is trained to lead a church through the transition from one lead pastor to the next. Unlike a traditional interim pastor who is there to "hold the fort" until a successor is chosen, the transitional specialist leads the congregation through a deliberate process of renewal so the church can have a healthy next.
